Everybody’s doing it, I’ll do it too…
What the hell, everyone else has a blog so I think I will too. If people like to write inanely about their boring lives, why can't I? Muahahaha!
Insomnia strikes again and World of Warcraft is down for maintenance. Need to twiddle me thumbs for a wee while longer methinks, but I hope to repeat the success we had in BRD earlier on. Got all the way to the Emperor in something like an hour, with not one death. With no epics. We rule! Strat next for some booty, which should while the day away later. Situation with an ex-guildie who left due to issues with other guildies but won't speak to me any more because she exptected me to leave the best guild I've been in with her isn't resolved, but the only person to take her side so far is her boyfriend (understandably I suppose). Well, she went off and joined my old guild, the one I told her she wouldn't like back when she decided I was still worth talking to, so good luck to her. Not.
I've decided to leave h2g2. There's a new DNA-wide profanity filter (DNA being the umbrella that covers the BBC messageboard sites) but the rules are so contorted and nanny-like it's really the final straw in a long line of incidents. Being politely asked not to swear is fine, I can respect that, but all of a sudden being told you cannot say anything naughty, with posts and articles being modded with no explanation on why (it took one user a while to figure out that in his article the word 'wop' – as in the singing style – was the offensive word), maybe I should just surrender myself to the speed cameras and ID cards now? Such a shame as I've met so many lovely people there, but when your feedback is ignored and your words twisted by those who should know better, it's not a place I want to be any more.
I want cake. I have an urge for cake. Might nip out later and buy some scales so I can make some. For now, a nice cup of tea will do.

I just read your comments on h2g2 EV and Fords’ Holiday Log 2005 regarding ‘The Many Voices Of Nelson Braga’. How very unkind you were!! Nelson has been an outstanding entertainer in an around Albufeira for the last 20 years. As i recall, at that time, he was suffering from a very bad chest infection which lasted almost a month. He rarely lets people down and took one day off in an attempt to recover at least some of his voice. Should you come to Portugal again, I suggest coming earlier in the season when I am sure you will fully appreciate the voices he CAN do. As an entertainer – he is the best and, from your numerous comments about him, it seems that you were certainly ENTERTAINED………

Thanks for that Hilary. Maybe he has been doing the rounds for 20 years but it doesn’t mean to say he was good! He may appeal to the general holidaygoing British public but we just couldn’t take the guy seriously.

Nobody can be good ALL the time can they Fords? He doesn’t expect to be taken seriously. Some people like his voices, some like his antics. If people can have a laugh and enjoy themselves even at his expense then good. Thats all that matters to him. Cant please absolutely everybody, but at least the majority of the holidaygoing British public (of which YOU seem to think you are NOT!) DO seem to appreciate him. Suggest you try Las Vegas next time !

2) This thread isn’t even connected to the post in question, so why are we even discussing this silly matter here?
